Orbit helps me pair my contacts with Facebook and Twitter so I see status updates right next to contact info. This way I get a better sense of what my friends are doing before I call or send a message. Plus I can keep track of their updates using notifications so I can call them when the moment is just right.

I can initiate a call from my contact list with a single click. Orbit lets me see immediately what options are available for all my contacts - phone, SMS, and email – so I can chose which method I want without clicking through to additional screens.

I can define my orbits so I decide who I want updates from the most. I gave my Inner Orbit the highest Social Volume setting so I receive all the status updates and comments the moment they happen. I also created a NYC friends orbit which I turn up when I am heading there for business or pleasure.

Silencing my Inner Orbit is so easy. Need to turn up the social volume on my work buddies? Not a problem. I can do both in just a couple of clicks, and my contact awareness suddenly shifts into work mode.
